Woman Jumps from Hyderabad Local Train to Escape Attempted Rape

A disturbing incident occurred on a local train in Hyderabad when a young woman was subjected to an attempted rape. In an effort to escape her attacker, the woman jumped from the moving train and sustained serious injuries.
The victim, a young woman from Anantapur district working at a private company in Medchal, had traveled to Secunderabad to get her cell phone repaired. After completing her task, she boarded a local train to return home. She was traveling in the women’s coach when two other women passengers disembarked at Alwal station, leaving her alone in the compartment.
Following this, a 25-year-old man allegedly attempted to rape her. To escape from the attacker, the woman jumped from the train near the railway bridge close to Kompally. As a result, she suffered severe injuries and was rushed to Gandhi Hospital for treatment.
Based on the victim’s complaint, the police have registered a case and initiated an investigation.
