APSRTC Faces Setback as DPC Insists on Government Report Format

The hopes of senior officials awaiting promotions in APSRTC have been dashed as the Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) has stalled their advancement process. Nearly 110 officials have faced setbacks due to the lack of proper documentation submitted to the DPC.
Several officers from the ranks of Depot Manager, Divisional Manager, Regional Manager, and Executive Director (ED) in APSRTC have been awaiting promotions for the past six months. The DPC convened a meeting to assess the promotions, but it refused to proceed due to the Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs) not being prepared in the required government format.
Despite requests from APSRTC officials to proceed with the existing reports, the DPC remained firm in its decision, insisting that the reports must be submitted in the official government format. The delay in processing promotions has resulted in many depots across various districts operating under in-charge officials.
