CCTV Footage: Temple Priest Identified as Mastermind in Acid Attack Case

Hyderabad police have unraveled the mystery behind the acid attack on Narsing Rao, the accountant of the Bhoolakshmi Temple in Saidabad, which took place on Friday night. According to police reports, the temple's priest, Rajasekhar Sharma, was the mastermind behind the attack.

Authorities revealed that disputes had been ongoing between Narsing Rao and Rajasekhar Sharma over temple rituals and financial matters. Narsing Rao reportedly made frequent derogatory remarks about the priest, which led Rajasekhar Sharma to seek revenge.

Rajasekhar Sharma conspired with Rayikod Hariputra, a 31-year-old priest from Rayikod in Sadashivpet, Sangareddy district, who was also his disciple. According to police, Sharma convinced Hariputra to carry out the attack.

On Friday night, Hariputra visited the temple, pretending to engage in conversation with Narsing Rao before suddenly throwing acid on his head and fleeing. While escaping, Hariputra left the acid container within the temple premises. CCTV footage later captured Rajasekhar Sharma disposing of the container.

The Task Force police, analyzing the CCTV footage, identified Sharma's involvement and took him into custody on Saturday afternoon. During interrogation, Sharma reportedly confessed to planning the attack. Investigations are ongoing, and authorities are questioning the suspects further.
