Demolition of Concrete Structures on Vijayasai Reddy’s Daughter’s Land

Municipal authorities in Visakhapatnam have demolished concrete structures on land owned by Neha Reddy, daughter of former YSR Congress Party Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy. Acting on the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s orders, the Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation’s town planning officials excavated up to ten feet inside the property to dismantle the concrete walls.

The Andhra Pradesh High Court had previously ordered the demolition of illegal concrete structures on Neha Reddy’s land at Bheemunipatnam Beach in Visakhapatnam district. However, at the time, the town planning officials had only removed surface-level structures without a complete demolition.

Following this, petitioner and Jana Sena Party corporator Peethala Murthy Yadav approached the High Court again, arguing that the illegal constructions had not been fully removed. In response, the court issued fresh directives for the complete demolition of the unauthorized structures. Consequently, the municipal authorities carried out the full removal of the illegal constructions yesterday.
