YS Sunitha Reddy Urges AP Governor to Expedite Her Father’s Murder Case

YS Sunitha Reddy Urges AP Governor to Expedite Her Father’s Murder Case

Dr. Sunitha Reddy, daughter of the late former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy, met Andhra Pradesh Governor Justice Abdul Nazeer in Vijayawada on Saturday evening. She submitted a formal complaint regarding her father’s murder case and urged the Governor to ensure that justice is served.

The murder of YS Vivekananda Reddy occurred exactly six years ago as of March 15, with the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) handling the case. While one accused remains in custody, all others have been granted bail. No convictions have been made so far. Dr. Sunitha Reddy has been persistently fighting a legal battle to ensure the culprits are punished.

During her meeting with the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Dr. Sunitha alleged that her father was brutally murdered and appealed for swift action in the case. She requested the Governor’s intervention to expedite the investigation. She also provided a detailed account of the developments in the case since the murder occurred.

Earlier in the day, on the occasion of YS Vivekananda Reddy’s death anniversary, Dr. Sunitha paid tributes at Pulivendula. Speaking at the event, she expressed deep concern over witnesses in the case dying under suspicious circumstances. She lamented that even after six years, the trial in the CBI court had not yet commenced. She further alleged that certain forces were obstructing the investigation and accused the accused persons of threatening witnesses to retract their statements.
