Nara Lokesh Praises PM Modi at Visakhapatnam Event
During Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh delivered an engaging speech, commending Modi’s contributions to India’s development. Welcoming the Prime Minister, Lokesh said, "On behalf of the City of Destiny, we extend a heartfelt welcome to Narendra Modi. Today, the entire world is looking towards India, and the reason behind this is Namo."
He continued, "Earlier, prime ministers were just figureheads, but today, our Namo has transformed into a people's leader. Namo's vision is always global, but his heart remains with India. For the underprivileged, Namo symbolizes hope and confidence; for the youth, he represents a brighter future; for women, he stands for dignity. By 2047, Namo is striving to transform India into a fully developed nation."
Lokesh also highlighted the vision of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Chandrababu Naidu(CBN), drawing comparisons between Chandrababu Naidu and Modi. He said, "Visionaries always think beyond boundaries. When Chandrababu Naidu announced Vision 2020, many mocked him, but today, if you visit Hyderabad, you will see that every word he said has come true. Now, he has presented the Swarnandhra Vision 2047 document. Under the previous government, Andhra Pradesh was left struggling, but Modi provided the necessary oxygen for its revival."
Praising Chandrababu Naidu’s quick actions, Lokesh remarked, "Despite numerous challenges, Chandrababu Naidu has been working tirelessly to fulfill the promises made. While it took five years for the previous government to increase pensions by ₹1,000, CBN did it with a single signature. He reopened the Anna Canteens, reintroduced the Deepam scheme providing free gas cylinders, and soon, a mega DSC recruitment drive will be launched—that's CBN for you."
Lokesh concluded by highlighting the significance of the day, stating, "Today is a historic day, as PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for projects worth ₹2 lakh crore that will change the course of Andhra Pradesh. These include the long-awaited Visakhapatnam Railway Zone, a bulk drug park in Nakkapalli, an NTPC green hydrogen hub in Pudimadaka, and several road and railway projects."
He urged the continuation of stable governance, stressing that consistency is essential for sustained development. "Modi has become Prime Minister for the third time, and you all witnessed the progress made between 2014 and 2019, just as you saw the setbacks that followed in 2019. On behalf of the people of Andhra Pradesh, we express our gratitude to PM Modi once again," Lokesh said.
Ending his speech on a high note, Lokesh declared, "Wherever you go—North, East, South, or West—there’s only one mania, and that’s Namo mania! Thank you all. Jai Hind."
