RTC Driver Lovaraju Meets Nara Lokesh After Suspension Revoked
An RTC driver from the Tuni depot in Kakinada district, Lovaraju, who was suspended for dancing to a song from the movie Devara while on duty, met Minister Nara Lokesh along with his family to express gratitude.
Lovaraju, an outsourced driver at the Tuni RTC depot, had been suspended following an incident on October 24. While driving a bus from Routhulapudi to the Tuni depot, he encountered a roadblock caused by a tractor carrying wooden logs. Unable to proceed on the narrow road, he temporarily stopped the bus. During the halt, Lovaraju entertained passengers by dancing to a popular song from Devara. A young passenger recorded the performance, which quickly went viral on social media.
The video caught the attention of Nara Lokesh, who appreciated the driver’s light-hearted gesture. However, authorities deemed his actions a violation of rules and suspended him from duty. When the matter was brought to Lokesh’s notice, he promised to have the suspension revoked. Upon returning from the United States, Lokesh fulfilled his promise and met with Lovaraju and his family.
During the meeting, Lokesh inquired about Lovaraju’s well-being and assured him of his support. Lovaraju and his family thanked the minister for his intervention and expressed their relief at his reinstatement.
