Chief Minister Revanth Reddy stated that his victory in Malkajgiri was instrumental in his rise to the position of Chief Minister of Telangana. Speaking at a preparatory meeting for the Malkajgiri parliamentary elections on Thursday, Revanth Reddy expressed his gratitude to the people of the Malkajgiri parliamentary constituency for their role in his current standing. He recalled how, despite the betrayal by leaders, the party workers carried him on their shoulders, securing his victory as an MP and sending him to Delhi. He highlighted the efforts of party workers who worked tirelessly in each of the 2,964 booths.
Revanth Reddy pointed out that Malkajgiri is the largest parliamentary constituency in the country, emphasizing how the victory there contributed to his ascension. He remarked that the downfall of KCR (K. Chandrashekar Rao) began with the 2019 Malkajgiri parliamentary election. He outlined his government's focus on governance over the past 100 days, including free bus travel for women, an increase in the Aarogyasri health scheme coverage to Rs. 10 lakhs, LPG cylinders for Rs. 500, and free electricity for up to 200 units.
He shared the collaboration with the central government in building skyways for Malkajgiri's development and called for the victory of the Congress party to address issues like metro and MMTS connectivity and the Jawahar Nagar dumping yard problem. Despite the storm of victories across Telangana in the assembly elections, Malkajgiri did not yield the expected results in the Lok Sabha position. He suggested that winning four out of seven assembly positions would provide opportunities for development.
Revanth Reddy emphasized the importance of hoisting the Congress party's flag in Malkajgiri in the Lok Sabha elections for the region's development. He expressed optimism for development opportunities for the area and the chance to improve conditions through victories in parliamentary and cantonment by-elections. He mentioned that the party's candidates would be announced on the day of the Holi festival.
