Amaravati: Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy (RK) is reportedly rejoining the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). Last night, RK had prolonged discussions with key YSRCP leader and Rajya Sabha member Vijayasai Reddy. Today, RK, along with his brother and MP Ayodhya Rami Reddy, is set to meet Chief Minister Jagan. The YSRCP's strategy appears to be focused on defeating Nara Lokesh in Mangalagiri.
RK won the Mangalagiri constituency in the 2014 and 2019 elections, defeating Nara Lokesh in the latter. His dissatisfaction began after being excluded from the ministerial expansion following the 2019 elections. Subsequently, Ganji Chiranjeevi was appointed as the constituency in-charge, which further disheartened RK, leading to his resignation from his MLA position and the YSRCP membership. He then joined the Congress party led by YS Sharmila.
