Min Kamineni finds majority doctors absent in hospital

Vijayawada, Dec 17, 2014: AP Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas made a surprise visit to the Old Government Hospital in Vijayawada on Wednesday and was shocked to find that most doctors were either absent or late comers. He discovered that 9 out 13 doctors were absent and sought an explanation from the hospital administrators over absenteeism. The minister directed the RMO to serve memos to the absenting doctors and seek explanation from them with in a week. Kamineni Srinivas warned the hospital administration that Government would not tolerate late coming or absenteeism. "This should not be repeated," he told the RMO curtly. The minister also inspected some records of the hospital and sought details from the RMO.
