Congress leadership has talks with Khushboo

Kollywood actress Khushboo is out to spread fragrance in the Congress in Tamil Nadu, which has been missing for a long while. Even though the Congress is in no striking distance of power, the TNCC is another name of groupism. Chidambaram has a group, so have Thangabalu, EVK Elangovan, Kumari Ananthan and Vasanth Kumar. Party unit vitiated by so many leaders, Kushboo brings in a welcome change should she be offered the TNCC president position. So far as articulation of ideas is concerned, Khushboo is second to none. So Khushboo has got a call from the Congress high command. Reports said Rahul Gandhi wanted her to meet the party leadership. Whoever called, Khushboo was in Delhi in the wake of reports that the leadership wanted a change in party leadership in TN. In the event, Khushboo met party president Sonia Gandhi. A humble Khushboo made an understatement after coming out of the meet, saying she paid a courtesy call on Sonia Gandhi. She clarified, however, that she did not tell the party leadership to continue with Elangovan's charge. Which means she is also in the race.
