AP Secretariat work is going on war-footing

The work on the building of the temporary State Secretariat at Velagapudi is going on war-footing. As directed by Chief Minister Chadnrababu Naidu that the work should be completed by June-end, the contractors, Larsen & Toubro and Shapurji Pallonji, have brought in the latest construction machinery to complete the works. The designs for the Secretariat and all the structures that are to come up in the Amaravati capital are being provided by Japanese agency Maki. However, Minister Narayana and Capital regional Development Authority officials are trying to persuade the Japanese agency to bring about several changes in the structures such as the Secretariat, High Court and State Assembly. They are meeting in the CRDA office in Vijayawada to carry out the changes in the structures.
