Effecting defections not petty politics, says KCR
Giving legitimacy to political defections, Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said on Thursday that changing parties was not petty politics. Inviting Yerrabelli Dayakar Rao, TDP firebrand, to the ruling Telugu Rashtra Samiti, with a pink shoulder cloth, KCR said he was inviting Yerrabelli with all his heart. It was coming together of different forces in Telangana on to a common platform. Yerrabelli along with his supporters in Warangal district joined the TRS at a common ceremony. After Yerrabelli wore the pink cloth, he stood by KCR and went on introducing his followers to the Chief Minister. For Warangal's development, KCR said Rs 300 crore would be allotted this year. With the Kaleshwaram project completion, Warangal farmers would get irrigation water. Warangal, with Godavari water supply, should develop as much like the Godavari districts in AP. All should work for the development of Telangana. The people of the State should hold their head high in the country.
