Congress finalises Rajaiah's name for Warangal LS by-poll

Hyderabad, Oct 31: Telangana Congress party today finalised the name of Rajaiah as its candidate for the by-election to the Warangal Lok Sabha seat, according to party sources. The decision was taken after former parliamentarian Vivek declined to contest the by-election. The Congress, therefore, had to pick local leader and former parliamentarian Rajaiah. Earlier, a section of the party leaders are said to have opposed Rajaiah's candidature. However, the party high command is believed to have asked the cadre to set aside their differences and work for the victory of the official candidate.
