Rahul Gandhi padayatra in Anantapur tomorrow

Hyderabad, July 23: Congress party vice-president Rahul Gandhi would undertake a 'padayatra' in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh State from tomorrow. During his yatra, Rahul would interact with farmers, handloom weavers, self-help group women and students to know their problems first-hand. Now, his latest foot march will start from Obuladevara Cheruvu village and will cover 10 km, according to a statement released by AP Congress leaders. He will reach Bengaluru airport at 6.30 am on Friday where Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh Congress leaders will welcome and accompany him to Anantapur district. During his tour, Rahul will meet the family of a farmer, Harinath Reddy, who allegedly committed suicide. At the end, he will receive public representations at Puttaparthi. He will visit the Maha Samadhi of Puttaparthi Satya Sai Baba before returning to Delhi. Earlier, he held padayatras in Telangana and Punjab States also.
