Sandra remanded to 14-day judicial custody

Hyderabad, July 7: TDP MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah was remanded to 14-day judicial custody by Anti-Corruption Bureau Court here today. The court directed the officials to provide special facilities to Sandra as he is an MLA. Sandra will be remanded till July 21 and he will be lodged at Cherlapally jail. Sandra informed the court that he was not involved in the scandal and alleged that TRS government foisted false cases against him. His advocates argued that there were no voice records on Sandra’s conversations in connection with the scandal. Meanwhile, the court accepted ACB’s petition seeking Sandra’s custody for five days and bail plea of the MLA and posted them for hearing tomorrow.
