60 supernumerary seats in Warangal NIT

Warangal/Hyderabad, July 2: Another 60 seats under supernumerary quota were added to the existing seats in National Institute of Technology (NIT) in Warangal. The Central government had released orders to this effect, in the wake of State bifurcation under home-state category. The Centre had clarified in its orders that number of seats should be increased under supernumerary in eight branches in NIT and to be allotted to AP candidates. 60 seats would be allotted in the eight branches - civil, electrical, mechanical, electrical and communications, metallurgical and materials, chemical engineering, computer science and bio-technology - in the NIT. The allotment of this 60 seats will be based on the ratio of the total seats in NIT campus.
