Man sets himself ablaze on Japan bullet train
Tokyo, June 30: A man set himself on fire onboard a bullet train in Japan, media reports said on Tuesday. The fire on the bullet train was caused by a passenger pouring oil over him on a train from Tokyo to Osaka, a spokesperson from Japan Rail told BBC. According to the state-run NHK news agency, the train came to an emergency halt between Shin-Yokohama and Odawara stations in Kanagawa prefecture around 11.30 a.m. Two people suffered cardiac arrests. TV footage showed white smoke coming out of the train. The Kyodo news agency quoted firefighters as saying they feared fatalities.
