Power cut claims woman's life in Vijayawada hospital

Vijayawada, May 23: In a sad development, frequent and unscheduled power cuts for long durations have claimed the life of a woman patient, who was on the ventilator, in the government hospital in Vijayawada on Friday night, according to sources. Speaking to television channels early on Saturday Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Kamineni Srinivas said he was immediately ordering an inquiry into the incident and take action against those responsible for this. Due to extreme heat, no power supply for long hours and the non-functioning of the hospital's generator patients are suffering a lot in the hospital.
