12 more cows of Goddess Kanaka Durga temple cow shed die

Vijayawada, April 30 , 2015: 12 more cows of the Goddess Kanaka Durga temple-run cow shed in Vijayawada died of food poisoning taking the total number of cows dead to 17. Reports said another 14 cows are being treated for food poisoning. Animal husbandry department officials and doctors, who visited the cow shed and inspected food material, have revealed that the cows died after consuming adulterated Idly power and wheat powder donated by some people. Police have registered cases against those who donated the poisonous food on the orders of the District Collector.
