Aadhar card corrections can be done by ourselves !

Many people think that making corrections in Aadhar cards is a big thing, and it is a herculean task. But it is actually a simple thing.

All the corrections like spelling mistakes in the name, change of address, date of birth, change of phone number or any other change can be done by ourselves and there's no need of going to any office for the same.

The procedure of making the corrections is like this :

You have to enter the website first : https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/

After entering the website, you have to enter your Aadhar number and type the verification code appearing there. After clicking on SEND OTP button, you will get the OTP to your cell number. You will be directed to the next page after tying the OTP.

You have to type all the corrections you have to make in the columns. However, you have to upload self-attested scanned copy in support of the changes you want to make. Preserving the UTR number is recommended for future purposes.

You can enter the website to know whether the changes you made are under consideration https://ssup.uidai.gov.in/

After entering the Aadhar number and URN number, you can get the status of the changes you have made. You can get the information like waiting, approval or approved. If it is approved, you can download the new Aadhar card with the new information.

Then, you can enter the website https://eaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/#sthash.xizrYUMA.dpuf

and fill in all the details mentioned there. You can then get the print out of your card in PDF format which can be used for any purpose.

However, you can make any change, only when you are using the cell number which you had entered at the time of registration at the Aadhar enrollment centre. Further, you can change your cell number, too, only when you have the cell number which you gave at the enrollment centre.

You can change your cell number by visiting the enrollment centre and making a request. Otherwise, you can send application for the same by post, too. Postal addresses for the sending the applications are as follows:

Address 1: UIDAI, Post Box No. 10, Chhindwara, Madhya Pradesh – 480001, India.

Address 2: UIDAI, Post Box No.99, Banjara Hills, Hyderabad – 500034, India.

You have to clearly mention AADHAR UPDATE / CORRECTION on the postal cover.
