Union Cabinet Secretary holds video conference with Telangana CS

Union Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba IAS requested the Chief Secretaries to make elaborate arrangements for Covid-19 vaccination. Cabinet Secretary held a video conference with all the Chief Secretaries and Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories on preparedness on Covid-19 vaccination.  

Taking the experience of dry run conducted in States and UTs, he urged to adopt an effective strategy in the implementation of the vaccination process. As a part of the Universal vaccination programme, it has been decided to give vaccine to health care workers of both Government and private sectors, front line warriors, and persons of age above 50 years.

Somesh Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana informed the Cabinet Secretary that the State Government has made all arrangements for vaccination in the entire State. He requested the Cabinet Secretary to include Panchayat Raj workers for vaccination as they run a high risk of contracting infection due to exposure. Another request was made to include Public Representatives in for vaccination on priority. Hon’ble Health Minister Eatala Rajender has already made this request to Union Health Minister in the last video conference.
