AP DGP Gautam Sawang addresses media on Hindu temple vandalised

AP DGP Gautam Sawang in a Press meet at DGP office in Vijayawada said the year 2020 was a challenging one. AP DGP said the Police have additional responsibility to provide the safety and security concerns of common men after Covid-19 cases hit all people sections. He said the Police have been facing the new kind of challenges to maintain the law and order and stability in the society. Reacting to temple desecration incidents in the state, the AP DGP has alleged that wrong messages are being conveyed in social media platforms. He has hit out at some section of people for spreading the false news.

Reacting to some political people's allegations, AP DGP said Police do not indulge in activities giving importance to one particular religion, castes, and the like. He has also reacted on Antarvedi incidents and the role of the Police.
