Heritage panel clears Parliament project
NEW DELHI: The Heritage Conversation Committee (HCC) on Monday gave clearance to the Central government's proposed new Parliament building. Earlier, the Supreme Court made the HCC permission mandatory to construct the project. The apex court ordered the Centre to obtain the permission from the HCC before starting the works of new Parliament.
Housing and Urban Affairs (HUA) Ministry Secretary Shanker Mishra stated that the HCC discussed the proposal and got clearance. It is known that the proposed building is planned to construct adjacent to the Parliament. Click the video for more detailed information.
