Buggana meets Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, seeks release of pending funds

Finance Minister Buggana Rajendranath Reddy and Chief Secretary Aditya Nath Das met Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in Delhi and impressed upon her to release the pending funds to the state. Speaking to the media, Rajendranath Reddy said that he urged Sitharaman to release the revenue deficit to the state as per the AP Reorganisation Act.
“We have brought to the notice of Sitharaman about various pending funds that need to be released to Andhra Pradesh from the Centre,” he stated. Buggana further said that the state is going through financial hardship after various circumstances arose out of imposing lockdown to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
