Shock to Nimmagadda - AP High Court suspends local body election schedule

Andhra Pradesh High Court took a sensational decision. It has suspended the local body election schedule released by the State Election Commissioner Nimmagadda Ramesh Kumar. The High Court has felt that the electoral process would hamper vaccination, and it also cited public health concerns. The Court also held that the state election body did not consider the government's views in making the decision.

It is well known that the war of words between the authorities and the opposition has been intensified in this regard. AP Ministers and the ruling party leaders have accused state election commissioner Nimmagadda Rameshkumar of colluding with the TDP.
