AP govt challenges HC stay in SC over guest house construction in Vizag
The AP government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to vacate the High Court stay over the construction of a new state guest house in Visakhapatnam. The petition will come up for hearing in the next week. The state government allotted 30 acres of land for guest house construction at Kapulauppada village in Bheemunipatnam mandal.
During the hearing, Advocate General Subrahmanyam Sriram had informed the High Court that the construction of the guest house was in no way related to capital. A three-judge High Court bench led by Chief Justice J K Maheswari gave a stay and directed the state government to submit plans of the proposed state guest house.
