ICC test championship rules Changed, Team India rank affected
The International Cricket Council (ICC), on Thursday, have amended the points system due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Cricket administration has announced a new points system in place to determine the final standings of the first edition of the World Test Championship. ICC cricket committee and the two executive committees have welcomed the new rules.
ICC Chief Executive Manu Sawhney said points earned don’t disadvantage teams that could not compete for all of their matches. Earlier, India was at the top of the points table before the new rules were imposed. Now, it has fallen to the number two spot behind Australia.
