₹1,046 Crore Allocated for 18 Flyovers in Andhra Pradesh: Nitin Gadkari
Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced that construction of 18 flyovers on national highways in Andhra Pradesh, funded with ₹1,046 crore, is at various stages of completion. The minister provided this update in response to a question raised by YSRCP MP Mithun Reddy in the Lok Sabha, detailing the progress of bridge constructions across the state.
Key Updates on Flyover Construction:
NH-216A:
Five flyovers are under construction at Morampudi, Jonnada, Undrajavaram Junction, Tethali, and Kaikaram. These are scheduled for completion by April 2, 2025.
Guntur Mirchi Yard:
The bridge near this location is targeted for completion by January 6, 2025.
Visakhapatnam Airport Junction:
The flyover here is expected to be ready by February 15, 2025.
NH-16:
Two flyovers at Gollapudi Junction and Nellore T-Junction are slated for completion by September 11, 2025.
NH-16 at Naguluppalapadu Growth Center and Rajupalem Junction:
Permissions for construction have been issued.
Additional Projects:
Bids have been invited for flyovers at Rajupalem Cross Road, Jonnathali Cross Road, Chevuru Cross Road, and Ranastalam Town portions, as well as for the proposed flyover near Kia Motors on NH-44.
Future Bid Invitations:
Plans are in place to call for bids for bridges at Sricity Zero Point and Chillakur Center on NH-16.
Minister Gadkari assured that the government is committed to completing these projects on time to improve transportation infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh.
