Balakrishna, Jana Reddy Residences Marked for Road Expansion

Former Minister Jana Reddy and TDP MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s residences have been marked by officials as part of road expansion efforts in Hyderabad. The Telangana government has initiated the construction of flyovers and underpasses to address traffic congestion around KBR Park.

As part of these developments, several properties were marked for road widening. These include Jana Reddy’s compound on Banjara Hills Road Number 12 and Nandamuri Balakrishna’s house on Jubilee Hills Road Number 45. Officials marked around six feet of Balakrishna’s residence for acquisition. Reports suggest both individuals have expressed some dissatisfaction with the markings.

The project entails building six underpasses and eight steel bridges across six junctions around KBR Park. The GHMC has set a target to complete the work within one and a half years. Key junctions affected by this project include Jubilee Hills Check Post, Road Number 45, Film Nagar, Maharaja Agrasen, Cancer Hospital, and KBR Park Entrance.

Two steel bridges will be constructed at Jubilee Hills Check Post and KBR Park Entrance Junctions. The remaining four junctions will each get a steel bridge. Additionally, flyovers and underpasses are planned near the Jubilee Hills Check Post.
