''Would You Arrest Like a Criminal?": Bandi Sanjay Reacts to Allu Arjun's Arrest
Union Minister Bandi Sanjay and BJP MLA Raja Singh reacted strongly to the reported arrest of film actor Allu Arjun. In a tweet on the social media platform X, Bandi Sanjay criticized the alleged treatment of the star, stating that Allu Arjun brought international recognition to Indian cinema and deserves respect, not criminal treatment. He questioned, “Would you arrest him by barging into his bedroom without allowing him to change clothes?”
Bandi Sanjay blamed the government for the tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theatre, where a woman lost her life. He alleged that the authorities failed to control the crowd despite knowing the immense popularity of the film Pushpa-2, which had generated massive anticipation following the success of Pushpa-1.
He criticized the poor management and lack of proper arrangements at the theatre, terming the negligence unacceptable. Sanjay stressed that neither Allu Arjun nor his fans were responsible for the chaos, emphasizing they deserved respect, not blame.
Raja Singh Defends Allu Arjun
BJP MLA Raja Singh also voiced support for Allu Arjun, holding the police department entirely responsible for the stampede. In his tweet on X, he asserted that Allu Arjun played no direct role in the incident and had earned immense respect for the Telugu states through his successes and awards.
Raja Singh criticized the government for making the actor a scapegoat instead of identifying the administrative lapses that caused the tragedy. He warned that such actions would tarnish the government’s image. He concluded by urging the authorities to introspect and treat Allu Arjun with the respect he deserves, not as a criminal.
