Minister Payyavula Commends Chandrababu Naidu’s Visionary Leadership

The Swarnandhra Vision-2047 program was held today at the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Vijayawada, marking a significant milestone in Andhra Pradesh's developmental journey. The event was attended by Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav, and Minister for Education, IT, and Electronics Nara Lokesh, among other dignitaries. During the program, the Vision-2047 document was unveiled, outlining the roadmap for the state's development.

Speaking at the event, Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav described the day as historic, emphasizing the significance of the newly launched Vision document. “This is not just a document prepared by consultants. It represents Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s tireless efforts, with countless hours spent in the Secretariat, even skipping meals, to shape a vision that meets the needs of every citizen. This Vision-2047 document is a reflection of his dedication to the state's future,” he stated.

Payyavula Keshav credited Chandrababu Naidu as a pioneer of vision documents in India, recalling the Vision-2020 initiative introduced in 1994. He highlighted the skepticism it faced at the time, particularly regarding IT advancements. “When Chandrababu introduced Vision-2020, he emphasized the importance of embracing the IT revolution. Many ridiculed him, suggesting that we needed pumpsets, not the internet. Today, those very pumpsets are operated using the internet, a testament to his foresight,” he remarked.

Payyavula Keshav noted the transformative impact of Vision-2020, pointing to the exponential growth in engineering colleges and employment opportunities in the IT sector. “From just 10 engineering colleges in 1994 to over 250 today, the ripple effects are visible worldwide, with Telugu youth excelling in the IT sector. Telugu professionals now rank among the highest earners globally, a direct result of Vision-2020. Hyderabad, transformed into a global city and the IT hub Cyberabad, stands as a living monument to his vision,” he added.

He contrasted visionary leadership with what he described as regressive governance practices, saying, “Leadership is not about demolishing public venues, halting water projects, or neglecting the poor. It is about inclusive growth and driving every sector towards progress. Chandrababu Naidu epitomizes this leadership.”

Payyavula Keshav praised Chandrababu Naidu’s selflessness, comparing him to a sage. “Hyderabad’s transformation into a global city was possible because of his vision. Today, while we see the prosperity of families benefiting from lakhs of jobs created, Chandrababu remains detached, working quietly towards his goals for the state. He works tirelessly, often late into the night at the Secretariat, dedicating his life to the people,” he said, concluding with admiration for the Chief Minister’s unwavering commitment.
