Rajendra Prasad Clarifies Comments About Allu Arjun: “He’s Like a Son to Me”
Veteran Tollywood actor Rajendra Prasad has addressed the controversy surrounding his recent remarks at the pre-release event of his web series Harikatha. His statements had gone viral, leading many to believe they were directed at Allu Arjun and his role in the blockbuster movie Pushpa.
During the event, Rajendra Prasad had commented, “Recently, we saw someone playing a role of a sandalwood smuggler (referring to Allu Arjun’s character in Pushpa). These days, the meaning of heroism has completely changed.” These remarks sparked widespread speculation on social media that the senior actor was criticizing Allu Arjun’s portrayal in the Pushpa-2.
Responding to the uproar, Rajendra Prasad clarified that his comments were not aimed at Allu Arjun. He stated, “When I read reports claiming I spoke negatively about Pushpa, I laughed at first. After all these years without controversies, suddenly there’s one! I enjoyed the humor of it but let me make it clear—I wasn’t referring to Allu Arjun.”
He further added, “Allu Arjun is like a son to me. Why would I speak about him in such a manner? Bunny, you’re my 'Bangaram'. Love you!”
