Sandhya Theater Incident: Allu Arjun Pledges ₹25 Lakh to Victim’s Family
Actor Allu Arjun expressed profound grief over the tragic incident that occurred at Sandhya Theater in RTC Cross Roads, Hyderabad, during the premiere show of his film Pushpa-2. The mishap resulted in the death of a woman named Revathi, leaving her family in mourning.
In a video statement released by the actor, Allu Arjun revealed that he and the movie team, including director Sukumar, were deeply shocked upon learning about the incident. He described it as a heartbreaking moment, particularly because such a tragedy was unprecedented in his 20-year journey of attending premiere shows at main theaters.
Allu Arjun announced a financial aid of ₹25 lakh to support Revathi's family during this difficult time. He expressed his inability to fully compensate for their loss but promised to do everything within his capacity to help. “This money is to assure you that I am here for you, and you can rely on me,” said the actor, pledging additional support for Revathi’s children and covering medical expenses for injured family members.
Calling it a painful and challenging time for Revathi’s family, he extended his condolences and reiterated his commitment to stand by them.
Allu Arjun also appealed to cinema lovers to prioritize safety while attending theaters. “We create movies for you to enjoy with your families. Such unfortunate incidents affect our energy and morale as creators,” he stated. He urged everyone to be cautious and return home safely after watching movies.
The actor concluded his message by expressing his heartfelt sorrow and solidarity with the bereaved family.
