3 Indians die in accident in UK

London/Hyderabad, August 24: Three Indian students die in a road accident in Scotland, UK, while a fourth one remains in hospital in critical condition. The deceased were identified as Pawan Bashetti (23) of Hyderabad; Sudhakar Modepalli (30) of Nellore, Andhra Pradesh; and Girish Subrahmanyam (23) of Bengaluru. Saivarma (24) was injured and undergoing treatment at Queen Elizabeth hospital.
 
Pawan and Girish are doing masters degree in Lesta University. Saivarma is pursuing mechanical engineering with management degree in the same university while Sudhakar already completed masters degree.
 
The mishap took place on August 19 when their car hit a heavy transport vehicle near Appin of Scotland. Police took a person into custody and interrogating. While Indian Consulate officials have completed postmortem and making arrangement to shift the bodies to India.
 
Indian National Students Association in UK is trying to shift the bodies to India. Association representative Kishore said that they are ensuring that better treatment is provided to the injured and also trying to get the fee back, which the students paid.
