Ex MLA flees as police raid venue of cock fights

Hyderabad, July 7: Acting over a tip off, Patancheru police raided a mango fields on the outskirts of Hyderabad on Wednesday night. TDP former MLA Chintamaneni Prabhakar and others reportedly escaped from there after noticing police.
 
According to information, led by Patancheru DSP Bheem Reddy police raided the venue of cock fights and found out that 70 persons betting on the cock fights at mango fields on the outskirts of Chinakanjarla village, Patancheru mandal. Police took 21 persons into custody and seized Rs 13 lakh cash, 26 vehicles, 27 mobiles, 30 rooster knifes and 31 roosters. 
 
Chintamaneni Prabhakar and Krishnamraju were escaped while police took Akkineni Satish and Barla Srinu into custody. 
 
It came to know that the former MLA has been organizing rooster fights in the fields in Pedakanjarla village for some time.
