‘Stepping back for the safety of my followers’
Hyderabad, July 4: YSRCP Narsapuram MP K Raghurama Krishna Raju announced that he is not meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bhimavaram. He took off to Bhimavaram on Narsapur Express from Lingampalli, Hyderabad, returned on Sunday midnight. He got off from the train at Begumpet railway station.
He released a video explaining the reasons for canceling his trip.
In the video, Raghurama said that already several cases were filed on his followers in Bhimavaram and police have arrested about 55 persons and harassing them. “The police told them that they will further harass them if I come to Bhimavaram. Police also told my followers that they will release them if I don’t go to Bhimavaram. Hence, for the wellbeing of my followers, I am taking my step back. Cancelled my trip. Don’t come to Bhimavaram for me,” Raghurama said.
Meanwhile, Eluru range DIG Palaraju told the media that MP Raghurama Krishna Raju’s name was not in the list either in the list came from PM office or those would be present on the dias or in the welcoming batch at helipad. He said that they don’t know how the MP is coming to Bhimavaram and added that the MP’s phone was not blacklisted.
The DIG said that there will be rules and regulations regarding flying zone due to the PM’s tour and anyone wants to come by flying must take permission.
