Minister Harish discussions with Gouravelly oustees successful

Siddipet, June 16: The discussions with Gouravelli oustees were successful with the government partially accepting their demands and to implement its promises given to the oustees.

Finance Minister T Harish Rao held discussions with the oustees of Gouravelly project on Wednesday. He pleaded them not to fall prey to the leaders of BJP and Congress, who are inciting the oustees for their political mileage only. Its not right to stop the process of providing water to lakhs of acres in Husnabad district through Gouravelli project, he noted.

Speaking at a press meet at Siddipet on Wednesday, the Minister alleged that BJP and Congress leaders prevented the engineers from doing works at survey and pump house in Regonda village for three days. He stated that the government is ready to discuss with the oustees for any number of times and will support them. He assured of paying each penny as per 2013 Act. He reminded that the government didn’t force them to evacuate or stopped them from cultivating for the past nine years.

Congress leaders and oustees discussed several issues with the Minister for more than one hour in Chinna Koduru mandal. He responded positively to their demands like special package for youth aged above 18 years; allotment of two bedroom house or plot for the oustees; rehabilitation package for the people of six Thandas surrounding Gudatipalli village and other.
