Tirupati techie killed wife for refusing to divorce him
Tirupati, June 1: The Tirupati techie had accepted his crime during police interrogation. He also said that he murdered his wife for refusing to divorce him.
Software engineer Venugopal further revealed that his wife Padma was torturing him by without giving divorce and without coming to live with him. In his words, “I told her that I will give divorce to her and also money. But Padma became greedy for more money and tortured me. She filed complaints with several women police stations. Made me unable to work peacefully. Hence I killed her.”
It should be noted here Venugopal on January 5 this year killed his wife Padma, packed her body in a suitcase and dumped it in Venkatapuram pond on the outskirts of Tirupati. He made his in-laws to believe that their daughter was with him only. Padma’s parents became suspicious when they couldn’t talk with their daughter for five months and complained to the police.
Police arrested Venugopal and during interrogation, the accused accepted that he killed his wife. Following which, police removed the body.
