Tension prevails in Arepally after Teenmar Mallanna arrest

Warangal, May 29: Police have arrested Chintapandu Naveen alias TeenmarMallanna in Arepally village on Saturday, who participated in a grama sabha near Pochamma temple here.
 
It should be noted that demanding the government repeal of land pooling GO, farmers of Arepally, Paidipally and Kothapalli villages of Warangal mandal of Warangal district have been staging protests for the past of one month.
 
On Saturday, Teenmar Mallanna was addressing the farmers at a meeting near Pochamma temple in Arepally. While police personnel tried to arrest him, farmers, women and villagers prevented them, questioning the cops they can’t enter the temple wearing shoes. This led to heated arguments between police and villagers. 
 
But police succeeded in arresting Mallanna and shifted him to Veleru police station. Later, Mallanna was released.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Teenmar Mallanna alleged that police arrested him and filed illegal case against him while he was participating in a grama sabha in Arepally village. He stated that he is not afraid of cases and will fight on behalf of the farmers till the government cancels GO 80A of land pooling.
