Congress doesn’t need me: PK

New Delhi, April 29: “Congress doesn’t need me. The party is capable of revival on its own,” stated poll strategist Prashant Kishor, a few days after declining Congress offer. In an exclusive interview with Aaj Tak, PK said that he and Congress leaders agreed on several things about party future plans. ‘But the party can do them on its own with the help of several top leaders. That’s why, I refused to take their offer,’ he added.

PK further said that he never thought of donning any role in Congress, but wanted to implementation of the blue print as it is, once agreed upon. “I told the party what all I wanted to tell them. I noticed Congress discussing all its plans after 2014. But I have a few doubts on the party’s empowerment action group. Only this group can impellent all the proposed changes and they asked me to join this group.”

Denouncing the rumours that Congress high command vetoed his proposal to make Priyanka Gandhi as party chief, Prashanth Kishor said that he didn’t proposed any names.
